The Yard Sales are back! This Friday and Saturday , Aug ust 7-8 t h from 9: 00am – 2: 00pm. Come out to shop or sell! This is your last chance to sign up as a seller! Scan the QR code to register or send us email to get the sign-up form.
Holy Trinity Church will also be hosting their annual sale to be at the same time, so don’t forget to stop by!
Thank you to the neighbors involved who are organizing the return of the Yard Sales, which we plan to have as an annual event moving forward!
Flanagan Park Improvements Underway
Construction is underway on the Flanagan Park Rehabilitation Project to improve safety, accessibility and recreational opportunities.
Improvements include a new playground, an ADA-accessible walking path with pedestrian lighting and benches, new screen fencing, a new basketball court and upgraded park amenities. Funded through a
$750,000 Community Development Block Grant, the project was shaped by community input and is expected to be complete in January 2027.

501c3 Status
The Papeton Neighborhood Organization board has voted 6-1 to move forward with filing paperwork with the federal government as a 501c3 nonprofit. The board weighed the benefits of building partnerships and consistent funding sources such as grants and donations, tax-exempt donations, in-kind donations from businesses, volunteer incentives such as company paid time-off, and matching employer donations.
Current costs will be a $275 filing cost and annual non-profit insurance. Additionally, we will establish a financial committee, file an annual financial report, and regular record keeping. Our intention is that as a 501c3 we will be able to further our neighborhood engagement and projects. We are committed to providing full transparency and accountability to our neighbors.
While we are beginning the process to file as a 501c3 we are open to feedback on this decision. Please direct any questions or comments to papetonneighbors@gmail.com.
